We have been handling our clients’ licensing and permitting needs for over 30 years. From IRP Licensing to IFTA Licensing to Title Management, we do it all.
All commercial motor carriers that operate “qualified” motor vehicles must register in the IRP program to pay their registration fees. Many carriers also need to manage their vehicle titles and IFTA Licensing.
IRP and IFTA Licensing are required for:
*Exceptions exist for recreational vehicles such as motor homes, pickup trucks with attached campers, and buses when used exclusively for personal pleasure by an individual. Some states have their own exemptions that often apply to farm vehicles or government vehicles.
The International Registration Plan, known as IRP, is a registration reciprocity agreement among states, of the United States and provinces of Canada, providing for payment of license fees on the basis of total distance operated in all jurisdictions.
The International Fuel Tax Agreement (or IFTA) is an agreement between the lower 48 states of the United States and the Canadian provinces, to simplify the reporting of fuel use by motor carriers that operate in more than one jurisdiction. Alaska, Hawaii, and the Canadian territories do not participate.
Our DOT Licensing Specialists will handle the titling of your vehicles correctly and will store as well as manage titles on behalf our clients. We not only keep the titles secure, we keep backup copies that can be accessed through our secure online client portal.
